Forklift Operator - 1st Shift - 54th St (Enid), OK
About The Position
This position is responsible for product movement within the facility and/or loading product for shipment. This position will be responsible for operating machinery, including ongoing production flow, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. This includes mobile equipment operation, lock out tag out certification, stacking, inspections, material checks, racking, and rack pushing. Candidates must also be willing and able to be certified in pallet jack, fall protection, and forklift operation. Basic computer skills are required for completing training or tasks. The role involves standing, sitting, bending, walking, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and reaching. Additionally, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds is necessary. Work environments may include cold (10 degrees below zero to 105 degrees) or damp conditions with potentially slippery walking surfaces. Overtime and weekends may be required. Effective communication and the ability to read and understand labels, recipes, and instructions are essential.
Requirements
- Must have 6 months of work history with one employer in the past 24 months
- Basic computer skills
- Willing and able to perform mobile equipment operation
- Willing and able to maintain lock out tag out certification
- Willing and able to perform stacking, inspections, material checks, racking, and rack pushing
- Willing and able to be certified in pallet jack, fall protection and forklift
- Willing and able to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat and reach
- Willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds
- Willing and able to work in the cold (10 degrees below zero to 105 degrees) or damp environments
- Willing and able to work overtime and weekends
- Able to read and understand labels, recipes and instructions
- Able to communicate effectively
