About The Position

Stratas Foods is seeking a full-time Sanitation Operator for the 3rd shift. This role involves working with a small team to maintain the cleanliness of the plant and equipment to ensure it is audit-ready. The position requires the ability to perform various tasks as assigned by supervision, including general housekeeping, sanitation, equipment breakdown, cleaning and reassembly of pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment, and operation of CIP skids. Candidates must have knowledge of chemical handling procedures and required PPE, and be responsible for completing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual MSS items. Communication with supervisors regarding equipment attention and reporting/resolving quality issues during cleaning are also key responsibilities. Adherence to GMP and Stratas policies is mandatory. Facility cleaning, including floors, drains, and overhead areas, is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer knowledge for data entry.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance.
  • Must fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies.
  • Must adhere to and comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or commercial cleaning.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping, sanitation, and other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Properly break down, clean, and reassemble pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment.
  • Operate CIP skids and perform breakdown and cleaning of line components.
  • Handle chemicals following proper procedures and using required PPE.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual MSS items.
  • Communicate with supervisor when equipment needs attention.
  • Report and resolve any observed quality issues while cleaning equipment.
  • Follow GMP and Stratas policies.
  • Perform facility cleaning, including floor, drain, and overhead cleaning.
