About The Position

Performs a variety of cleaning/sanitation duties and responsibilities for the plant. This role requires working in enclosed/confined spaces, at heights, and in temperature extremes. Responsibilities include setting up and performing CIP (clean in place) cleaning operations, disassembling and reassembling equipment for PEC (periodic equipment cleaning), maintaining accurate written records, and completing reports. Cleaning and sanitation activities are performed as determined by the Master Sanitation Schedule and/or Sanitation Lead and/or Sanitation Program Manager. The role requires the use of personal protective equipment, such as gloves, boots, fall protection, or respirators, and often involves wearing a full body harness with safety lines. Mechanical aptitude is required.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
Mechanical Aptitude is required.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of cleaning/sanitation duties and responsibilities for the plant.
Requires working in enclosed /confined spaces - must be able to obtain a confined space authorized certification.
Requires working at heights equal to plant ceilings and exterior silos Climbing ladders and stairs.
Requires working in temperature extremes, hot and cold, indoor and outdoors.
Setting up, performing CIP (clean in place) cleaning operations, and reassembly of equipment.
Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment for PEC (periodic equipment cleaning) cleaning.
Responsible for keeping accurate written records and required to complete reports.
Performs cleaning and sanitation activities as determined by the Master Sanitation Schedule and/or Sanitation Lead and/or Sanitation Program Manager.
As assigned, must use personal protective equipment, such as gloves, boots, fall protection or respirator. Often works wearing a full body harness, tied off with safety lines (retractable lifelines.)
