About The Position

This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining production equipment to high standards, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. The operator will be involved in the assembly and disassembly of equipment, safe use of chemicals, and adherence to standard operating procedures. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often with little supervision, and to collaborate effectively with team members.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Must demonstrate safe working habits
Must be able to use industrial strength chemicals
Must be able to understand and demonstrate all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment
Must have basic mechanical skills
Must be able to work in a wet and slippery environment
Must possess general knowledge of machine operation
Must be able to bend/stoop/squat down, etc.
Must be able to learn and perform all positions
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)
Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas
Must be able to communicate effectively
Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work

Nice To Haves

Must be willing to attend forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubber and high lift training

Responsibilities

Assembling and disassembling equipment
Dispensing and using chemicals safely
Cleaning all production equipment
Maintaining standard operating procedures at an exceptional level
Ensuring the prevention of damage when cleaning equipment, including electrical wiring and control panels
Applying various chemicals on different equipment as well as environmental locations
Operating and maintaining floor scrubbers
Performing other duties as assigned
Troubleshooting using creative thinking
Assisting other team members in other areas
Performing steady and productive work for an extended period of time
Working efficiently with little or no supervision
Following detailed written and verbal instructions
