About The Position

Factor, a brand of HelloFresh, is seeking a Sanitation Manager to develop, implement, and continuously improve sanitation programs, policies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the facility. This role involves ensuring sanitary performance meets Factor standards, supports Food Safety requirements, and maintains regulatory compliance. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining and updating procedures, schedules, chemical supply, and leading the sanitation team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related business equivalent/2-4 years of plant quality/food safety/sanitation experience.
• Must have the knowledge and skills required to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Must display strong leadership qualities
• Knowledge of the GMP, HACCP and Environmental sanitation program is required.
• Understands and can apply basic microbiological principle

Nice To Haves

• Experience with third party regulatory agencies such as SQF, FDA, USDA is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sanitation programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that sanitary performance meets Factor standards as well as supports Food Safety requirements and regulatory compliance
• Maintain and write detailed procedures and SOPs for all plant equipment
• Maintain and update master cleaning schedule for plant according to GMP and Factor guidelines
• Manage sanitation chemical supply and inventory
• Build and maintain relationships with hourly associates, managers, carrier partners, vendors, and various departments within HelloFresh
• Effectively engage, coach, motivate and lead the sanitation team for career progression and development
• Participate in audits, facility inspections and coordinate pre-operational inspection with QA Management
• Develop and implement all sanitation related training for sanitation and plant employees as needed
• Ensure all safety requirements related to sanitation are met including proper chemical storage, MSDS, PPE and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.
