About The Position

This role is responsible for leading a group of hourly Team Members in cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the plant in accordance with USDA, HACCP, FDA, and FSQA pre-op regulations, policies, and protocols. The position also involves filling in for breaks and assisting with necessary paperwork and administrative duties. The lead will train employees on sanitation procedures, chemical processes, and safety. Responsibilities include using high-pressure hoses, assembling/disassembling lines and equipment for cleaning, using chemical solutions, and cleaning various plant areas and equipment. The role requires the ability to obtain training for LOTO, fall protection, PIT, and confined spaces. The work environment may involve warm or cold temperatures, wet, humid, or dusty conditions. The job requires lifting up to 50 lbs frequently, and the ability to stand, sit, walk, climb ladders/stairs, and sustain physical activity throughout the day. The position may require working holidays, weekends, and flexible hours based on demand scheduling, and working in elevated areas while following safety procedures. Maintaining good housekeeping and following all Tyson Safety protocols are essential. Other tasks assigned by management must also be completed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of (1) year department LEAD experience in a Poultry Processing Facility or related industry.
  • Experience may be from a combination of employers if it totals at least one year and must be documented within the application or uploaded resume.
  • Must be able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
  • Must be willing and able to use high-pressure hose.
  • Must be willing and able to use chemical solutions.
  • Must be willing and able to climb to scrub high places and bend or squat to scrub low places.
  • Ability to obtain authorized LOTO (lockout tagout), fall protection, PIT (if needed) training, and confined space.
  • Able to Lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
  • Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.

  • Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.

  • Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
