About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing an assigned production department under the direction of the Production Supervisor. This person will help complete necessary paperwork, perform audits, and other various duties to help keep production running efficiently. Requirements

  • Ability to perform HACCP and perfect package checks as necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate the skills necessary to work well with Team Members at all levels: Hourly, Management Support, Supervisors, and Managers.
  • Ability and willingness to possess and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to be a self-starter and be able to work with a minimal amount of direction.
  • Ability and willingness to have knowledge of jobs within the department.
  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Production Supervisor with managing the department to include, but not limited to, job rotation assignments, labor efficiency, and labor adjustments in compliance with the current Union contract.
  • Assist with maintaining downtime sheets and OEE boards.
  • Assist with and coordinate product changeovers to maximize uptime and ensure process control.
  • Assist with the training of new and transferred Team Members through the usage of standardized work.
  • Assist with the management and timely usage of raw materials and rework.
  • Assist with the management of SAP.
  • Complete various rework, safety, and food safety audits in order to ensure compliance.
  • Complete various audits of the processes on the raw and pack side to validate the adherence to quality standards and to help drive reductions in giveaway, rework, and inedible.
  • Partner with maintenance, as necessary, to have maintenance completed within the department.
  • Must have knowledge of all jobs within the department to include, but not limited to, the set-up and tear down of all equipment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and possesses good multitasking abilities to handle various tasks and/or projects.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
