About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing the Sanitation department under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor. This person will help complete necessary paperwork, perform audits, and other various duties to help keep production running efficiently.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

  • Ability and willingness to possess and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to be a self-starter and be able to work with a minimal amount of direction.
  • Ability and willingness to have knowledge of jobs within the department.
  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position.
  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to be able to lift/lower/carry up to 20 pounds with back and legs.
  • Ability and willingness to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 10 hours.
  • Ability and willingness to climb stairs several times per hour.
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
  • 6 months of manufacturing-related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Receive chemical deliveries per SSOPs.
  • Maintain chemical storage standards per safety requirements.
  • Transfer, blend, and distribute chemicals as required.
  • Verify chemical concentrations.
  • Maintain chemical dispensing equipment.
  • Ensure proper labeling and segregation of chemicals.
  • Maintain chemical inventories and determine necessary order quantities.
  • Ensure proper storage and disposal of chemical storage containers.
  • Coordinate with Ecolab on chemical and/or process changes.
  • Assist with chemical training activities.
  • Communicate regularly with sanitation leadership and the safety department.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
