About The Position

Lead Sanitizer will assist with leading the crew at company truck/trailer wash facilities. Lead all efforts regarding the safe and timely scheduling, washing of truck and trailers performing the following duties personally or through other sanitizers. Requirements

  • Must have current valid driver’s license
  • Must have excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be familiar with computer use and information systems
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Ability to develop and implement work plans that are completed in a timely fashion
  • Ability to follow bio-security procedures
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and participate in the injury prevention system
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and climb
  • Ability to use power washer and clean/ sanitize trucks
  • Ability to tolerate blood, animal dander, manure, dust and odors
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to work under stress
  • Must be able to tolerate hot and noisy conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the swine industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assures all Live Haul units are washed and disinfected based on current bio-security procedures and within the scheduled turnaround times.
  • Coordinates scheduling changes with facilities
  • Coordinate number of washes for the next day
  • Maintains properly trained personnel, adequate equipment and facilities
  • Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety, rules, and governmental regulations
  • Responsible for understanding the Injury Prevention System and all safety requirements of the job and for performing the job in compliance with the safety requirements
  • Ensures trailer cleanliness through training, inspection, and resolution of problems.
  • Ensures biosecurity with cross traffic with live haul.
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance of the truck wash/baker facility.
  • Coordinates scheduling with transportation supervisor.
