About The Position

We have an opening for a 3rd shift Sanitation Laborer. This role involves following established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming, and sanitizing of equipment, containers, and the facility. Established procedures are documented in the Sanitation Standards of Operations Procedure book and kept in the supervisor’s office. The Sanitation Laborer is responsible for cleaning their assigned work area and must be able to perform duties in all areas. This includes the disposal of garbage with a forklift, maintaining drains and floorways clear, and operating production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning. Safety procedures for handling chemicals and equipment must be followed, and chemicals must be measured and mixed per established procedures. The role requires recording work performed on the Sanitation Schedule at the end of each workday and maintaining the dumpster area in a clean and orderly condition. Following safety rules and company policies is essential. Additionally, employees may participate in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams as appropriate, and perform other duties as directed by their Supervisor or crew chief.

Requirements

Must be properly trained to handle chemicals.

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Follows established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming and sanitizing of equipment, containers and the facility.

Must be able to operate production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning.
Follows safety procedures to ensure the safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
Measures and mixes chemicals per established procedures.
Records work performed on Sanitation Schedule at end of each workday.
Maintains dumpster area in clean and orderly condition.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives written and verbal instructions on the above job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor or crew chief.
