The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building. This includes sweeping at the main entrance for debris, cleaning front door entrance glass inside and outside to remove smudges, dusting window sills and ledges, dusting tables, chairs and all other furnishings, dust mopping all hard surface floors, damp mopping hard surface floors using commercial floor cleaners, and vacuuming entrance door mats and all other carpeted areas. The role also involves office area cleaning, which includes emptying trash cans and inserting can liners, emptying paper shredders, removing and depositing all trash into containers, dusting off desks (working carefully around paperwork, pens, pictures), dusting chairs, chair legs, file cabinets, top of wall mounted picture frames and window sills, dust mopping and damp mopping all hard surfaces, and vacuuming all carpeted areas. Conference room tables will be cleaned, and chairs arranged. For the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar, responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting all tables, wiping down chairs, replacing chairs to the table, cleaning and disinfecting counter tops and surrounding areas, cleaning and disinfecting sinks, microwave ovens (inside and outside), rinsing coffee pots, cleaning and disinfecting drinking fountains and water coolers, sweeping, dust mopping, and damp mopping all hard surface floors (using a specially formulated neutral cleaner), cleaning and disinfecting refrigerators (inside and outside), and vacuuming entrance door mats and all other carpeted areas. Restroom duties involve detail cleaning and sanitizing countertops, wash basins, mirrors, paper product dispensers, spot cleaning walls and partitions, cleaning and sanitizing toilet bowls and urinals (inside and outside), cleaning and sanitizing all chrome fixtures and handles, dusting air vents, restocking paper supplies, refilling hand soap dispensers, emptying waste receptacles, and dust mopping and wet mopping restroom floors using specially formulated floor cleaner. Weekly office area cleaning includes carpet spot cleaning (stains no larger than the size of the human hand), spot cleaning office doors, spot cleaning walls around light switch plates, polishing chrome metal kick and push plates on entrance doors, cleaning and disinfecting telephone headsets, polishing and cleaning desk tops, dusting air vents throughout the office area, and dusting office room divider tops.
