About The Position

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building. This includes sweeping at the main entrance for debris, cleaning front door entrance glass inside and outside to remove smudges, dusting window sills and ledges, dusting tables, chairs and all other furnishings, dust mopping all hard surface floors, damp mopping hard surface floors using commercial floor cleaners, and vacuuming entrance door mats and all other carpeted areas. The role also involves office area cleaning, which includes emptying trash cans and inserting can liners, emptying paper shredders, removing and depositing all trash into containers, dusting off desks (working carefully around paperwork, pens, pictures), dusting chairs, chair legs, file cabinets, top of wall mounted picture frames and window sills, dust mopping and damp mopping all hard surfaces, and vacuuming all carpeted areas. Conference room tables will be cleaned, and chairs arranged. For the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar, responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting all tables, wiping down chairs, replacing chairs to the table, cleaning and disinfecting counter tops and surrounding areas, cleaning and disinfecting sinks, microwave ovens (inside and outside), rinsing coffee pots, cleaning and disinfecting drinking fountains and water coolers, sweeping, dust mopping, and damp mopping all hard surface floors (using a specially formulated neutral cleaner), cleaning and disinfecting refrigerators (inside and outside), and vacuuming entrance door mats and all other carpeted areas. Restroom duties involve detail cleaning and sanitizing countertops, wash basins, mirrors, paper product dispensers, spot cleaning walls and partitions, cleaning and sanitizing toilet bowls and urinals (inside and outside), cleaning and sanitizing all chrome fixtures and handles, dusting air vents, restocking paper supplies, refilling hand soap dispensers, emptying waste receptacles, and dust mopping and wet mopping restroom floors using specially formulated floor cleaner. Weekly office area cleaning includes carpet spot cleaning (stains no larger than the size of the human hand), spot cleaning office doors, spot cleaning walls around light switch plates, polishing chrome metal kick and push plates on entrance doors, cleaning and disinfecting telephone headsets, polishing and cleaning desk tops, dusting air vents throughout the office area, and dusting office room divider tops.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective team player with good communication and listening skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts)
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to operate equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision

  • Dust mop and damp mop all hard surfaces in office areas
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas in office areas
  • Clean conference room tables
  • Arrange conference room chairs for next day business
  • Clean and disinfect all tables in the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
  • Wipe down chairs as needed in the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
  • Replace all chairs up to the table in an orderly manner in the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
  • Clean and disinfect counter tops and surrounding areas in the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
  • Clean and disinfect sinks in the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
  • Clean and disinfect microwave ovens inside and outside
  • Rinse out and replace coffee pots for next use
  • Clean and disinfect drinking fountains and water coolers
  • Sweep and dust mop all hard surface floors in the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
  • Damp mop all hard surface floors in the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
  • Damp mop all hard surfaces floors using a specially formulated neutral cleaner in the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
  • Clean and disinfect refrigerators inside and outside
  • Vacuum entrance door mats and all other carpeted areas in the Lunch Room Break Area and Coffee Bar
  • Clean and sanitize countertops and surrounding areas in restrooms
  • Clean and sanitize wash basins in restrooms
  • Clean mirrors from top to bottom in restrooms
  • Clean and sanitize paper product dispensers in restrooms
  • Spot clean restroom walls and partitions as needed
  • Clean and sanitize toilet bowls inside and outside
  • Clean and sanitize urinals inside and outside
  • Clean and sanitize all chrome fixtures and handles
  • Dust air vents in restrooms
  • Restock all paper supplies and refill all hand soap dispensers
  • Empty waste receptacles in restrooms
  • Dust mop and wet mop restroom floors using specially formulated floor cleaner
  • Carpet spot cleaning (stains no larger than the size of the human hand) once a week
  • Spot clean office doors once a week
  • Spot clean walls around light switch plates once a week
  • Polish chrome metal kick and push plates on entrance doors once a week
  • Clean and disinfect telephone headsets once a week
  • Polish and clean desk tops once a week
  • Dust air vents throughout office area once a week
  • Dust office room divider tops once a week
