About The Position

As a Sanitation Associate, you will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality packaging operations. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery.
Competence using hand tools for repairs and adjustments.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently (and up to 100 lbs occasionally with assistance).
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Basic knowledge of chemical handling and applications, with a commitment to safety protocols.
Strong work ethic, problem‑solving skills, and consistent attendance are essential.
Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize all machinery, equipment, and cold rooms according to Nortera's 7 Steps of Sanitation, ensuring food safety and quality.
Safely apply approved cleaning agents, follow LockOut/TagOut procedures, and use required personal protective equipment.
Prepare materials for the next shift, maintain sanitation equipment, and report any food safety or quality concerns.
Verify accurate packaging, weights, and labels throughout production.
Maintain strict adherence to HACCP, SQF, and other food safety requirements.
Document quality checks and production performance as required.
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Meet established performance, quality, and efficiency goals.
Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment issues.
