Sanitation Associate- Phoenix
About The Position
The Sanitation Associate performs typical sanitation tasks to support the production team and the entire facility. This includes removing waste, debris, and refuse, transporting empty boxes to compactors, monitoring the outside of the facility for waste and debris, sanitizing equipment and floors at the end of shifts, cleaning and sanitizing tools and receptacles, and performing other custodial functions as needed. The role involves working in a temperature-controlled environment and requires adherence to all safety standards and requirements. This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities. However, the Company reserves the right to adjust, modify, or reassign work tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet changing business needs, operational requirements, or other factors.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Speak, read, write, and understand English at an intermediate level.
- Previous experience working in sanitation/janitorial preferred, however no experience necessary, you will receive training on your first day!
Responsibilities
- Performing typical sanitation tasks to support the production team and the entire facility.
- Removing waste, debris, and refuse.
- Transporting empty boxes to compactors.
- Monitoring the outside of the facility for waste and debris.
- Sanitizing equipment and floors at the end of shifts.
- Cleaning and sanitizing tools and receptacles.
- Performing other custodial functions as needed.
- Cleaning and sanitation of all food production equipment and machinery (e.g., production machines, tables, mats, compost bins, sinks, drains, walls, and any surface scheduled for sanitation duties).
- Cleaning and sanitizing all kitting and packing equipment and surfaces.
- Working in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Regularly lifting and moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and moving up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety standards and requirements.
