About The Position

Golden West Baking is an English muffin and Bun products manufacturing located in Anacis Island. Established in 1984, the facility supplies products for foodservice and retail and is part of CH Guenther and Son, a company with over 150 years of history. The Sanitation Associate is responsible for sanitation and the cleanliness of the bakery to AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards. This role involves completing daily walk-around duties, performing sanitation duties as outlined by the Sanitation Manager and in accordance with the established Preventative Sanitation program. The associate will also participate in monthly self-inspections and safety and health inspections, coordinating sanitation duties with production and maintenance team members. Additionally, they will assist in scheduling cleaning duties for production team members on down days, perform in-house pest control duties, and prepare the bakery for AIB and VIP visits. Limited non-sanitation tasks may be assigned, such as moving trays, shipping product, or assisting on the production line in emergency situations. Reporting all equipment problems on the Mechanical Defect sheet and to Supervisors is crucial. The role requires keeping all tools in proper storage and the sanitation department storage room organized, while strictly adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) outlined for working in a food processing plant. Teamwork and cooperation with fellow team members are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sanitation and the cleanliness of the bakery to AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards.
  • Complete daily walk around duties.
  • Perform sanitation duties as outlined by Sanitation’s manager and in accordance with the established Preventative Sanitation program.
