This position monitors Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Clean In Place (CIP) systems, and Pest Control programs to ensure compliance. The associate will assist with internal audits, pathogen swabbing root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions. They will also assist when food safety issues arise and conduct and document assigned sanitation activities to ensure the facility and equipment are maintained properly. This role involves maintaining sanitation supplies, tools, and utensils, conducting routine maintenance, preventive cleaning, and special cause cleaning activities. The associate will maintain facilities in accordance with government food safety and quality standards, conduct validation testing, and provide input on chemical options for plant sanitation. Collaboration with the FSQA team is essential to ensure compliance with the Safe Quality Food Code Food Safety manual, and adherence to the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), food safety codes, and other applicable laws and requirements is mandatory. The role also requires strict adherence to all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment, safe operation of machinery, immediate reporting of hazards or incidents, and active participation in safety trainings. Maintaining cleanliness in work areas, awareness of surroundings for personal and others' safety, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards are also key aspects of this position. The associate will complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with others, identifying priorities, and adapting to change.
