About The Position

The Sanitation Aide is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all dishwashing and cleaning tasks are performed according to established guidelines. This role also involves assisting with other kitchen duties as needed, including plating for banquet events.

Requirements

• High work ethic and self-initiative
• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (6-8 hours a day).
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
• Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset.

Responsibilities

• Use established guidelines to correctly utilize and maintain the dish machine.
• Wash glasses and dishes in a standard dish rack.
• Wash pots and pans in the designated pot washer's area.
• Ensure all cleaning required to keep the kitchen neat and clean is performed, including sweeping up broken glass/dishes and mopping spills.
• Empty full and heavy trash cans, ensuring they are sprayed and sanitized after each use, and placing new trash bags in the container after each cleaning.
• Follow all MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) protocols and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties in other areas of the Kitchen as assigned, including assisting with plating banquet events when needed.
