About The Position
The Sanitarian Supervisor supervises, coordinates, and controls the collection, removal, and disposal of refuse and yard waste from commercial and residential customers. The position oversees associates during a specific shift and helps ensure collection activities are carried out safely and efficiently. The role also handles customer complaints, equipment maintenance oversight, reporting, and office records. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and supervise daily refuse and waste collection.
- Oversee associates during a specific shift.
- Conduct field inspections to ensure collection is performed safely and efficiently.
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints promptly and tactfully.
- Monitor and inspect equipment repair and preventive maintenance.
- Prepare status, maintenance, accident, injury, and other required reports and submit them to a supervisor.
- Identify and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS/SDS sheets.
- Maintain appropriate office records and files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
