About The Position

The Sanitarian 1 supports production teams in a manufacturing plant by helping maintain high safety, quality, and efficiency standards through proper sanitation of production equipment and facility areas. The role works directly with an experienced Sanitarian (Level 2) and is exposed to multiple refrigerated production areas. The position is hourly and full-time, located onsite in Jackson, with a stated pay rate of $19.85.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Follow all GMP procedures.
Follow all food safety, food quality, and food security policies.
Report equipment failures to the Sanitation Manager or Supervisor.
Set up and tear down production equipment as needed for specific cleaning applications.
Use chemicals to clean and sanitize food-contact and non-food-contact surfaces.
Inspect equipment before releasing the line to the Sanitation Manager or Supervisor for inspection.
Document completed job tasks on the sanitation checklist.
Wear protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
Use basic cleaning hand tools to safely clean conveyor belts, floors, walls, the trash dock, and other facility areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
