About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning the manufacturing facility according to established standard operating procedures and within established time standards while meeting USDA requirements and following all corporate policies and procedures pertaining to Safety, Total Quality Control and Good Manufacturing Practices. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. This role requires the ability to rinse equipment with high-pressure hot water systems, apply cleaning chemicals to equipment, walls, ceilings, floors, and drains using a foam or gel tank, and scrub equipment with cleaning chemicals using a green pad. Additionally, the role involves lifting parts for equipment setup/teardown or storage, climbing ladders/steps to clean overhead areas, shoveling meat from the floor, cleaning floors with a squeegee, and wiping condensation from overhead structures. The Sanitarian Laborer must assure sanitation quality by adhering to SSOP and USDA policies, remembering equipment cleaning spots, performing Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and spotting/locating deficiencies during pre-op inspections. The position involves working with hazardous chemicals (Caustics/Acids) and requires pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 75 lbs. repeatedly. The role demands standing and walking on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day, working in temperatures ranging from 45-100 degrees Fahrenheit, and performing repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling. Frequent reaching to high and low levels and climbing step ladders and/or stairs are also required. Overtime and weekends may be necessary. Lock Out Tag Out certification will be required.
