About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning the manufacturing facility according to established standard operating procedures and within established time standards while meeting USDA requirements and following all corporate policies and procedures pertaining to Safety, Total Quality Control and Good Manufacturing Practices. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. This role starts at $17.60/HR with a .85 shift differential.

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing and able to work with hazardous chemicals (Caustics/Acids).
  • Must be willing and able to push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Must be willing and able to stand and walk on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Must be willing and able to work in cold/hot temperatures ranging 45-100 degrees.
  • Must be willing and able to perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be willing and able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
  • Must be willing and able to climb step ladders and/or stairs.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends.
  • Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification.

Responsibilities

  • Rinse equipment with high pressure hot water systems.
  • Apply cleaning chemicals to equipment walls, ceilings, floors, drains with a foam or gel tank.
  • Scrub equipment with cleaning chemicals by using a green pad.
  • Lift parts to tear down/set up equipment or to properly store.
  • Climb ladders/steps to clean overhead areas.
  • Shovel meat from the floor, clean the floor using the squeegee, and wipe condensation from overhead structures with a condensation mop.
  • Assure sanitation quality by adhering to SSOP and USDA polices (pre-op/checks area before the start up).
  • Remember hiding spots and niche areas that exist on all equipment.
  • Perform Lock Out/Tag Out.
  • Spot/locate any deficiencies during pre-op inspections.
  • Work with hazardous chemicals (Caustics/Acids).
  • Push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Stand and walk on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Work in cold/hot temperatures ranging 45-100 degrees.
  • Perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Reach high and low levels, frequently.
  • Climb step ladders and/or stairs.
  • Work overtime and weekends.
  • Obtain Lock Out Tag Out certification.
