About The Position
Our company is looking for a Sandblaster or Blasting Operator and Spray Painter to join our team. We are looking for an individual to perform sandblasting and spray painting 500-gallon and 1000-gallon propane tanks. This job description is not inclusive of all duties and responsibilities of this role. Duties and responsibilities may be added and deleted based on business needs and may be changed business dictates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Follow HAZMAT safety standards
- Able to sit, bend and reach overhead as part of daily activities
- Able to lift 60+ lbs
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Ability to follow established processes
- Familiarity with power tools
- Ability to operate a forklift
Nice To Haves
- Previous sandblasting or painting experience a plus
- Experience working with or removing heavy metals a plus
Responsibilities
- Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces
- Operate a blast booth or similar equipment
- Assist with painting or coating as needed
- Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed
