About The Position

This is a temporary position where the sandblaster will work under the direction of the department Lead or supervisor to assist with daily operations. The role is responsible for continually maintaining a clean working environment and preparing metal for painting, which includes sandblasting and wiping down steel to remove oil and cutting fluids. The sandblaster will use measurement devices to measure and record sandblast profiles, perform daily maintenance routines on blast equipment, and clean the blast booth, lights, and change filters. They will also follow safe operating and lifting procedures, wear proper safety equipment, and may perform other duties as assigned. Use proper protective equipment when necessary, following all safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations.
  • 1 or more year experience blasting in a production/Industrial environment.
  • Ability to read tape measure, digital and analog profiler and other handheld measuring tools.
  • Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance.
  • Ability to exude high energy, solution-based thinking, while focusing great attention to detail and maintaining a service-oriented disposition.
