If you know your way around a blast pot and take pride in turning rough surfaces into perfectly prepared ones, we want you on our team. As a Sandblaster, you'll play an important role in preparing trailers and components for high-quality industrial coatings. You'll be responsible for masking, surface preparation, sandblasting, and ensuring every job is completed to specification. This is hands-on work for someone who takes pride in their craft, pays attention to the details, and likes seeing the finished product leave the shop knowing you helped build it.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 year of sandblasting experience.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read work orders and complete basic computer tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, crouch, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Maintain good hand-eye coordination.
  • Work in environments requiring personal protective equipment for much of the day.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or training with Industrial coating applications.
  • Experience or training with Thermal spray equipment.
  • Experience or training with Electrostatic application equipment.
  • Experience or training with Conventional spray painting.
  • Experience or training with Brush painting.
  • Experience or training with Airless spray equipment.
  • Experience or training with Multi-ratio pump spraying.
  • Overhead crane operation — certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Mask, prep, and prepare materials for blasting and coating.
  • Sandblast surfaces according to job specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and understand work orders, drawings, and instructions.
  • Complete required computer and production documentation.
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and productive workspace.
  • Inspect your work and pay attention to the details that make the difference.
  • Learn new equipment, processes, and techniques as required.
  • Work as part of a team while taking ownership of your work.
  • Follow established safe work practices and company procedures.
