About The Position

As a Sandblaster, you’ll prepare metal and other materials for coating and finishing by using abrasive blasting equipment to remove rust, paint, mill scale, and other contaminants. This is a hands-on manufacturing role where quality, safety, and attention to detail matter. You’ll make sure surfaces are properly prepared before they move on to the next step in production.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow written work instructions and safety procedures
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to use measuring and inspection tools
Strong safety awareness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting is preferred
Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently
Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, scale, and other contaminants
Inspect workpieces to make sure surface preparation meets quality requirements
Select the appropriate blasting media, equipment settings, and PPE
Perform equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot equipment and assist with repairs when needed
Follow work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules
Document work and communicate production status using our CMMS system
Maintain a clean and organized work area using 6S principles
Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
