About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of blasting, priming, and painting applications and related activities. It requires knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment, and safety precautions, and adherence to the general safety plan. The position may also include other duties such as undercoating, as requested by a supervisor. Primary job functions typically require exercising some independent judgment and performing work at a quality level consistent with Wabash National/Transcraft standard practice. The role is supervised by a supervisor, general foreman, manager, or department head.

Requirements

• Must have both written and verbal communication skills.
• Must pass an initial and annual pulmonary exam.
• Must complete respiratory fit testing as needed and adhere to guidelines.
• Must complete painters’ safety training.
• Must meet the above qualifications before assuming undercoating or painting duties.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred for this position.
• May be required to successfully complete other special training for specific assignments.
