About The Position

Rippling is seeking a Sanctions Operations Associate to join its Financial Crime Compliance Team. The role focuses on reviewing and dispositioning sanctions screening alerts, evaluating potential matches against OFAC and international sanctions lists, and distinguishing true matches from false positives. The associate will escalate confirmed or high-risk matches and maintain clear documentation that meets audit and regulatory standards. The role also supports end-to-end sanctions due diligence for existing customers, prospects, and third-party partners. This includes research using open-source, proprietary, and third-party tools; adverse media analysis; sanctions nexus assessments; and risk analysis involving complex entities and ownership structures. The associate may participate in customer-facing due diligence calls and help develop targeted outreach and escalation questions. The associate will contribute to sanctions policies, procedures, operational frameworks, risk analyses, and governance documentation. They will work cross-functionally with teams including Financial Crime Compliance, KYC, EDD, Sales, Implementation, Legal, and Product; stay current on sanctions developments; help translate regulatory changes into practical guidance; and support internal training and business-unit questions. Rippling describes compliance as a strategic enabler and builds technology-driven processes to manage risk. The company values in-office work: employees who live within a defined radius of a Rippling office are expected, under current policy, to work in-office at least three days a week. The role offers competitive salary, benefits, and equity. US salary ranges vary by location, but specific amounts are not included in the posting.
