About The Position

This is a career fair announcement for San Ysidro Health's Urgent Care and PACE programs in Southeast San Diego. They are conducting interviews for several positions: PACE Personal Care Aide & PACE Certified Nursing Assistant, Urgent Care Medical Assistant II/Urgent Care Technician, and Patient Services Representative. The fair provides an opportunity for candidates to interview and learn more about the organization and its mission to provide high-quality, compassionate, accessible, and affordable healthcare services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Current BLS Certification/Card
  • PACE Personal Care Aide: 6 months of experience
  • PACE Certified Nursing Assistant: 1 year of experience
  • CNAs require a valid Nurse’s Assistant California State Certification
  • Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California
  • Urgent Care Medical Assistant II/Urgent Care Technician: 2 Years of Medical Assistant experience in addition to the successful completion of a Medical Assistant Externship
  • Patient Services Representative: One year of customer service experience or successful completion of internship at San Ysidro Health
  • Updated Resume (minimum years of experience required for interview consideration)
  • Valid BLS Card
  • Active CNA License (if applicable)
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care services to the participants under the direction and supervision of a nursing staff member, as assigned by the Program Director.
  • Support the Urgent Care clinic by performing designated medical procedures as directed, and in accordance with San Ysidro Health policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving and/or responding to non-clinical related patient complaints and inquiries.
  • Act as preceptor/trainer.
  • Collaborate with clinic nursing supervisor to develop operational strategies and process improvements for department/unit.
  • Answer telephones, greets, assists, and directs visitors, patients and other clinic office callers.
  • Guides, screens, and registers new patients.
  • Assists patients in obtaining services and provides information on funding eligibility and inquiries related to patient access processes, policies, and/or other related information.
  • Researches and resolves customer problems.
  • Performs clerical duties to support the daily business activities of the location.
