About The Position

San Ysidro Health is hosting a Career Fair on August 25, 2026, for positions within their Southeast San Diego Urgent Care and PACE programs. They are seeking to fill roles including PACE Personal Care Aide, PACE Certified Nursing Assistant, Urgent Care Medical Assistant II/Urgent Care Technician, and Patient Services Representative. The career fair will involve interviews for these positions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Current BLS Certification/Card
  • PACE Personal Care Aide: 6 months of experience
  • PACE Certified Nursing Assistant: 1 year of experience
  • PACE Certified Nursing Assistant: Valid Nurse’s Assistant California State Certification
  • Urgent Care Medical Assistant II/Urgent Care Technician: Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California
  • Urgent Care Medical Assistant II/Urgent Care Technician: 2 Years of Medical Assistant experience in addition to the successful completion of a Medical Assistant Externship
  • Patient Services Representative: One year of customer service experience or successful completion of internship at San Ysidro Health
  • Updated Resume (minimum years of experience required for interview consideration)
  • Valid BLS Card
  • Active CNA License (if applicable)
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care services to the participants under the direction and supervision of a nursing staff member, as assigned by the Program Director.
  • Support the Urgent Care clinic by performing designated medical procedures as directed, and in accordance with San Ysidro Health policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care in a manner conducive to comfort, safety, and welfare of patients.
  • Assist in resolving and/or responding to non-clinical related patient complaints and inquiries.
  • Act as preceptor/trainer.
  • Collaborate with clinic nursing supervisor to develop operational strategies and process improvements for department/unit.
  • Answer telephones, greet, assist, and direct visitors, patients and other clinic office callers.
  • Guide, screen, and register new patients.
  • Assist patients in obtaining services and provide information on funding eligibility and inquiries related to patient access processes, policies, and/or other related information.
  • Research and resolve customer problems.
  • Perform clerical duties to support the daily business activities of the location.
