About The Position

The Financial Times is seeking a seasoned journalist to join its San Francisco bureau. This role will lead coverage of Meta during a critical period of its AI-focused future, as well as cover other major tech companies like Elon Musk's X and ByteDance's US TikTok business. The correspondent will be responsible for breaking news, writing features, and collaborating with a global team of reporters. The FT values curiosity, ambitious thinking, and impartial journalism in a collaborative and supportive culture.

Requirements

Seasoned journalist with a track record of scoops and smart features.
Ability to get inside companies and break news.
Ability to tell colorful stories about powerful founders.
Willingness to collaborate, share tips, and bylines.
Must refrain from using AI in test submissions.
