About The Position

The Sample Room Technician will be responsible for performing material cutting using various tools and machines, operating laser and hot knife machines, understanding and managing inventory, assisting sewers with machine operations, managing master samples, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. This role also involves assisting with assembly, packaging, printing shipping labels, and monitoring projects in the manager's absence.

Requirements

Ability to perform material cutting using hand industrial size scissors and Hand Cutting Machines.
Ability to operate Laser Cutter machine.
Ability to read and understand trims sheets.
Ability to operate the Hot knife machine.
Understanding of SCI code for inventory replenishment.
Ability to operate grommets, button holes, and bar tacking machines.
Skills in master samples management.
Assistance with assembly and packaging.
Ability to print UPS labels.
Ability to monitor projects in Manager’s absence.
Adherence to company's safety and quality standards.
Maintenance of a safe and clean work area.

Responsibilities

Performs material cutting using hand industrial size scissors and Hand Cutting Machines to accurately cut various markers, unique samples and various re-sizing repairs.
Operates Laser Cutter machine.
Reads and understands the trims sheets.
Operates the Hot knife machine to cut trims by their SCI code.
Understands the SCI code and replenishes sample room’s inventory accordingly.
Assists sewers by operating the grommets, button holes, bar tacking machines, etc.
Assists with master samples management.
Assists with assembly and packaging.
Prints UPS labels to ship final products.
Monitors projects in Manager’s absence.
Works according to the company’s safety and quality standards.
Maintains a safe and clean work area.
Performs other related duties as required and or as assigned.
