About The Position

The Sample Logistics Technician plays a critical role in supporting internal laboratory operations by managing the movement, collection, and coordination of samples to ensure efficient and timely shipment execution. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to chain of custody procedures, and collaboration across site operations to maintain workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated ability to safely lift and transport materials in accordance with established guidelines
  • Proven ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a laboratory and operational setting with frequent movement between work areas
  • Capacity to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the duration of a shift
  • Commitment to following safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Solid computer proficiency, including data entry and tracking systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with adaptability to changing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in science, logistics, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in logistics, laboratory support, or operations is preferred
  • Familiarity with sample handling, chain of custody procedures, and regulated environments is a plus
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams or similar collaboration tools preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Power BI, or other inventory and data management systems
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collect samples from designated laboratory locations in a timely and organized manner.
  • Transport samples safely to staging and dispatch areas following established protocols.
  • Coordinate sample readiness and shipment timing to support operational deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate chain of custody documentation and ensure proper sample handling procedures.
  • Assist with operational logistics, including scheduling, tracking, and process coordination.
  • Support site coordination efforts to ensure smooth communication between lab and logistics teams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
