Temporary Sample Coordinator
About The Position
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Temporary Sample Coordinator to join the Merchandising team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. This role is responsible for the post-market management of all samples across various product categories including Mainline Leather Goods, RTW, Footwear, Jewelry; Heaven RTW, Accessories, Jewelry; and Outlet Leather Goods & Jewelry, Beauty, Little Marc, Eyewear. The Sample Coordinator will maintain a database of samples, track their corrections, current location, return status, and future needs. They will also follow up with cross-functional teams on sample return status and condition, and provide seasonal market support. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and organizing sample closets, assisting with showroom organization, market photography, and organizing carnet/sample shipments. Data integrity in all systems, including PLM, JOOR, and AX, is a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Entry Level
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to successfully navigate in such an environment
- Highly detail oriented with strong organizational & problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team oriented with ability to multi-task
- Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for all projects
- Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, PLM & ERP Systems
Responsibilities
- Post market management of all samples for Mainline Leather Goods, RTW, Footwear, Jewelry; Heaven RTW, Accessories, Jewelry; Outlet Leather Goods & Jewelry, Beauty, Little Marc, Eyewear
- Maintain database of samples that includes notable product corrections that need to be corrected in post-production, current location of samples, estimate return status, future needs etc.
- Follow up with all cross-functional teams on sample return status and condition
- Maintain and organize the sample closets
- Seasonal Market support including: Showroom organization & maintenance, Market photography – packing samples, detailed photography shot lists, coding images, Organizing carnet/sample shipments for market if necessary
- Data integrity in all systems – PLM, JOOR, AX
