About The Position

ATI is seeking a Sample and Conditioning Operator for its Bakers facility in Monroe, North Carolina. The role is responsible for sampling and conditioning titanium ingots to meet customer expectations, using a variety of machinery. A successful candidate is attentive to detail, manages time effectively, and can work independently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills.
• Time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders from the shipping and melt departments.
• Operate swing grinders, hand grinders, a gas cutting torch, a manual bander, and various fork trucks.
• Use a drill press to sample titanium alloys.
• Detect and report defective materials or improper operations.
• Transfer ingots onto a roller to begin the chamfering process and bevel the edge of each piece.
• Visually inspect finished material before sending it to the next department.
• Stamp materials with proper labels.
• Maintain logs and records.
• Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
