Sample Administration Technician - Eurofins Environment Testing - Dallas, TX
About The Position
Eurofins Environment Testing Dallas is searching for a full time Sample Administration Technician in Dallas, TX. This position is expected to assist overseeing all the different aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and logging samples. The role involves preparing samples for processing, accepting and signing for deliveries, and assisting in unloading shipments. The technician will use moving equipment to transport shipments, open coolers, inspect contents, and check documentation to ensure all samples are accounted for. Samples will be distributed to different departments as appropriate, and the technician will follow strict safety and quality control procedures. Responsibilities also include storing, restocking, and shelving samples, ensuring the work area is clean and organized, and entering records in the LIMS system.
Requirements
- BS in Science, preferably Chemistry or Biology preferred
- Fresh grads welcome to apply
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
Responsibilities
- Oversee all the different aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and logging samples
- Prepare samples from processing
- Accepts and signs for deliveries
- Assists in unloading shipments from delivery truck
- Uses dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around Sample Receiving area
- Opens coolers and inspects contents of shipments
- Checks documentation to ensure all samples are accounted for
- Distributes samples in different departments as appropriate
- Follows strict safety and quality control procedures
- Stores, restocks, and shelves samples as necessary
- Ensures that work area is clean and organized
- Enters records in LIMS system
