About The Position

Coordinates the selling and titling of client salvage to include coordinating with vendors and VCA personnel to ensure the movement of Salvage to locations with no or minimal fees. This role also involves ensuring SOC 2 Compliance by handling claimant, policyholder, client, and company information in accordance with SOC 2 security, confidentiality, and data integrity standards. The associate must ensure sensitive data is stored, transmitted, and processed securely, maintain accuracy and completeness of information, promptly report security incidents, and participate in training to stay current on SOC 2 requirements.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
  • Two years of insurance industry claim handling experience required.
  • Good judgment skills.
  • Proficiency with technology, primarily Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of auto insurance claim work experience preferred.
  • Experience with vehicle history searches, titles, and liens preferred.
  • Good automotive knowledge especially an idea of vehicle values.
  • Understanding of salvage process preferred.
  • Knowledge of total loss claim practices.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures and facilitates movement of Salvage to low or no storage fee locations.
  • Lists client vehicles for auction on the salvage website.
  • Sets minimum bids/reserves for total loss units.
  • Inform clients and buyers of bid results.
  • Coordinates the final payment and title transfer between the buyer and the client and/or leasing company.
  • Follows up with the client/leasing company for status of title work.
  • Reviews title paperwork for accuracy prior to auction.
  • Ensures proper branding of titles.
  • Assists Claims Department with title questions and paperwork on 3rd party claims.
  • Researches and identifies new buyers to be added to the network through client referrals, internet searches and other sources.
  • Handle all claimant, policyholder, client, and company information in accordance with SOC 2 security, confidentiality, and data integrity standards.
  • Ensure sensitive data is stored, transmitted, and processed securely, following company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of information in all systems, reports, and documentation.
  • Promptly report any actual or suspected security incidents, policy violations, or data handling concerns to management.
  • Participate in training and awareness initiatives to stay current on SOC 2 requirements and best practices.
  • Support audit readiness by providing documentation, evidence, or explanations of compliance activities when requested.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as needed to support business operations and compliance objectives.
