Position is responsible for the control and disposition of non-conforming material that requires rework, and that is not a standard operation of the traveler. The Salvage Analyst provides quick and accurate disposition of non-conforming material, reviews completion of all operations shown on the rework traveler, and verifies that the paperwork is correct and orderly. This role critically assesses and routes/dispositions non-conforming material for optimal outcome, enters routing/analysis information in computer or manual system, and works closely with quality, engineering, and leadership to resolve discrepancies. The analyst must be familiar with unique customer requirements, assist operators with proper D-tag preparation, and be responsible for safe work practices by adhering to safety rules and identifying/reporting safety problems. Training and close work with other Analysts is also a key part of the role, along with performing other related duties as assigned by management.
