The Salvage and Dangerous Goods role support plant operations by managing scrap, salvage, nonconforming material, chemical-related material, and regulated shipments. This person helps protect safety, improve inventory accuracy, support production, and keep material flowing to the right place at the right time. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgement within the limits of Global Manufacturing Systems focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). Possess the ability to deal with complex problems. On a typical day, this person works across dock activity, scrap and salvage processing, shipping reviews, audits, inventory corrections, and material recovery work. This role also works closely with Quality to verify all scrap has been processed correctly in SAP and that material records are accurate. This is an individual contributor role with broad impact across plant operations.
