About The Position

The Salon & Spa Coordinator is an integral part of the Gene Juarez team, ensuring that each guest feels welcome through their in-person interactions and by providing consistent critical behind-the-scenes support. This is a full-time position at the University Village location and requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekends. The role focuses on guest experience, supporting artists, maintaining a clean environment, assisting with retail, and engaging with guests during check-out.

Requirements

• If age 18+, have or be willing to obtain a Class 12 or 13 MAST Permit (training will be provided).
• Ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of guests and exceed expectations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional and resilient response to in-the-moment situations.
• Comfort with organization, cleanliness, and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to learn about changing products, services, and promotions quickly.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Open scheduling availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods (standing or walking).
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. without assistance, and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests, making them feel delighted they've chosen Gene Juarez.
• Support artists by preparing clean linens and supplies used during services.
• Promote a warm, clean environment in all areas of the salon, including the lobby, dressing rooms, retail shelves, and restrooms.
• Assist with the replacement of retail stock and signage, including organizing and placing incoming shipments.
• Engage with guests during check-out, ensuring accurate payment processing and a positive final interaction.
• Perform all tasks generally falling into accomplishing these goals.
