About The Position

Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids is hiring a Salon Assistant who loves working with children and thrives in a fun, fast-paced salon environment. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, friendly, and passionate about delivering great customer experiences while supporting daily salon operations. The Salon Assistant plays a key role in keeping the salon running smoothly while ensuring every child and parent has a fun, positive experience. Responsibilities include scheduling, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with inventory, and supporting guest relations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role
• Ability to work weekends

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of customer service experience preferred
• Experience working with children is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and friendly personality

Responsibilities

• Manage appointment scheduling and guest check-ins
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized salon environment
• Follow and enforce hygiene and sanitation standards
• Assist with inventory tracking and stock organization
• Support training and onboarding of team members
• Provide excellent customer service and engage with children and parents
• Help maintain a fun, welcoming atmosphere
• Multi-task in a fast-paced setting
