Our sales professionals are responsible for selling vehicles and meeting dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards. This position includes four broad areas of activity: personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up. Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
  • Authorization to work in the USA.
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Selling vehicles and meeting dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Determining each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.
  • Demonstrating vehicles, including test drives.
  • Delivering vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Establishing personal income goals and devising a strategy to meet them.
  • Reporting to the vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.
  • Staying informed about incoming inventory, features, and accessories and how they benefit customers.
  • Working with the service department and body shop to ensure vehicle reconditioning is completed as expected and on schedule.
  • Attending sales meetings and training offered by the dealership and the manufacturer.
  • Maintaining a prospect development system.
  • Maintaining an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.
  • Reviewing and analyzing actions daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
  • Understanding automobile industry terminology and keeping abreast of technological changes in products.
  • Knowing and understanding equity and values, and being able to explain depreciation to the customer.
  • Knowing and understanding the federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.
  • Introducing customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance.
  • Following all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately reporting any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
