About The Position

Entry-level sales position supporting the DIY business and helping achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts, sourcing from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, and in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. The position may be part time or full time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Requirements

• Speak and write English; Spanish is a plus.
• Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Be able to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Have 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment providing superior customer experiences.
• Have basic driving and navigation ability.
• Be able to use a delivery board system, locate and stock parts, and operate inventory systems, store equipment, POS systems, parts lookup systems, and testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
• Have safety knowledge and skills, and parts and automotive system knowledge.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent selling experience during DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and testing, and wiper installation.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes, including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Stock merchandise, including truck deliveries and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
