About The Position

Handyman on Call is a handyman and home improvement company that provides fast, reliable, and professional on-call services to homeowners and property managers. Our mission is to revitalize communities and deliver high-quality, affordable solutions. We are looking for a Salesman/Estimator who can connect with customers, assess projects, and help grow our business. The Salesman/Estimator will be the face of our company — meeting with clients, walking through projects, and preparing estimates for handyman and remodeling work. This role requires excellent people skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to close sales.

Requirements

  • Previous sales or estimating experience (handyman, remodeling, or construction preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of home repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to measure, scope, and price out jobs accurately.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and driven to achieve results.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Relentless work ethic and a “whatever it takes” attitude.
  • Positive, high-energy personality with a commitment to personal growth.
  • Willingness to be coached, trained, and pushed to perform at a high level.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and schedule site visits.
  • Assess repair and improvement needs for residential and small commercial clients.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and competitive estimates.
  • Explain project scope and pricing to customers in a professional, persuasive manner.
  • Follow up with clients to secure contracts and build repeat business.
  • Work closely with office staff and field technicians to ensure smooth project handoff.
  • Track sales performance and consistently meet or exceed goals.
  • Maintain high daily activity levels (calls, follow-ups, site visits).
  • Follow a strict pipeline and close ratio system.
  • Be accountable for weekly and monthly sales targets — no excuses, only results.
