Salesforce Release Manager (Copado)

About The Position

As a Release Manager, you will be entrusted to lead enterprise-level software release orchestration supporting federal IT modernization programs. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and program delivery to drive secure, compliant, and high-velocity releases across complex environments.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Release Management, DevOps Engineering, or Software Delivery Leadership.
  • Experience in Salesforce with Copado
  • Experience managing complex, multi-team release cycles in enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
  • Experience using Copado for branching strategies, user stories, deployments, back promotions, and release planning.
  • Familiarity with Copado CI/CD capabilities including automated testing, quality gates, and pipeline management.
  • Experience managing Salesforce deployments across multiple environments (Development, QA, UAT, Staging, and Production).
  • Understanding of Salesforce metadata, source control, and package-based deployment methodologies.
  • Experience supporting change management, audit traceability, and release governance within regulated or enterprise environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot deployment issues and coordinate remediation activities across development, QA, and platform teams.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, manage, and optimize release management lifecycles across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
  • Establish and enforce release governance frameworks including change control, versioning, rollback strategies, and audit traceability.
  • Integrate release processes with CI/CD pipelines using DevOps toolchains such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
  • Ensure releases comply with federal security standards including NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and VA security controls.
  • Coordinate across engineering, QA, product, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to maintain release alignment.
  • Maintain release calendars, deployment schedules, and risk registers.
  • Lead go/no-go release decisions based on readiness criteria and risk assessments.
