The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform Developer will be asked to help create solutions and solve critical business needs that involves: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce.com, AI, Agile tools (Atlassian suite), CI/CD and DevOps utilities. She/he will develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve internal functionality, enhance performance with internal and external systems. She/he will be responsible for technical planning, system design, integration decisions and software installation.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Experience designing, building, and deploying production-ready solutions directly with business stakeholders or customer teams.
  • Hands-on development experience with APIs, data integrations, SQL, scripting, and cloud-based enterprise platforms.
  • Hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, CloudPages, and Mobile Studio where applicable.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, AMPscript, and Server-Side JavaScript to support dynamic content, personalization, segmentation, and reusable campaign components.
  • Experience building and maintaining data extensions, automations, query activities, customer journeys, triggered sends, and scalable audience segmentation logic.
  • Understanding of Marketing Cloud Connect, REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP-based data exchange, data model design, and integrations with Salesforce.com or enterprise data platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance, consent management, privacy, email regulatory compliance, GDPR, CPRA, and enterprise security expectations.
  • Strong planning, documentation, process-mapping, decision-making, verbal communication, written communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Practical understanding of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, and AI-assisted workflow automation.
  • Ability to evaluate AI use cases for feasibility, risk, business value, data readiness, privacy, security, and compliance before implementation.
  • Experience applying AI to marketing operations, personalization, content generation support, segmentation insights, campaign optimization, knowledge retrieval, or support automation.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI practices, including human review, bias awareness, data minimization, auditability, monitoring, and guardrails for regulated enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve internal functionality.
  • Enhance performance with internal and external systems.
  • Responsible for technical planning, system design, integration decisions and software installation.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into technical requirements, prototypes, integrations, and scalable implementation plans.
  • Troubleshoot in live or high-priority environments, including root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and issue remediation.
  • Plan and perform A/B testing, campaign QA, cross-client rendering validation, deliverability checks, and performance optimization.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to turn AI opportunities into documented requirements, prototypes, measurable success criteria, and production-ready solutions.
