Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development.
  • Hands-on experience with AMP script and SQL in Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience implementing or supporting SMS messaging, including consent management.
  • Familiarity with regulated or public-sector environments (PIl, compliance, security).
  • Ability to work effectively in a staff augmentation role under state direction.
  • Experience with Mobile Connect, SMS compliance, and short code provisioning processes.
  • Experience supporting government agencies or health organizations.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (c.g., WAG / Section 50g).
  • Experience integrating Marketing Cloud with Salesforce.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of five (5) years of Salesforce experience in Marketing Cloud development.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer or Consultant certification.
  • Experience with MobileConnect, SMS compliance, and short code provisioning processes.
  • Experience supporting government agencies or health organizations.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, e.g., WCAG / Section 508.
  • Experience in integrating Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer or Consultant certification.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, develop, customize, integrate, troubleshoot, and support Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionality for communications (email & SMS).
  • Implement and maintain SFMC modules: Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, MobileConnect.
  • Enable SMS messaging capabilities: Short code acquisition support and provisioning, keyword configuration, opt-in/opt-out and consent handling, carrier/compliance alignment.
  • Design and deploy automated journeys, triggered sends, and scheduled communications across email and SMS channels.
  • Build and maintain Data Extensions, segmentation logic, and SQL queries for audience selection and automation.
  • Develop dynamic, personalized content using AMPscript and SFMC scripting patterns.
  • Integrate Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and other State systems; implement connectors/configuration needed for data flows.
  • Troubleshoot campaign, SMS, data, and automation failures; perform remediation and root-cause analysis.
  • Produce technical documentation, knowledge-transfer materials, and adhere to MHBE change control, privacy, security and PMO policies.
  • Provide flexible operational support including off-hours/weekend availability as required.
  • Submit supervisor-approved timesheets with each invoice.
