About The Position

Century Communities is seeking a motivated, versatile Salesforce Engineer to solve complex problems and build scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform. The role combines system configuration and development, requiring work across declarative and programmatic Salesforce capabilities. The engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, build custom functionality, and evolve the platform to support business needs. The role spans Apex development, integrations, user support, and business-process improvement. The position also involves maintaining platform data quality, security, governance, documentation, and standards; managing configurations and releases; and keeping current with Salesforce updates and emerging technologies. Equivalent professional experience demonstrating deep Salesforce platform knowledge may be considered in lieu of the stated degree.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Salesforce administration and development.
Experience with Apex development and Salesforce integration.
Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to independently drive solutions from concept through implementation.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfort working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
Salesforce Administrator certification.
Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
Experience with Salesforce ecosystem products such as Data Cloud, Account Engagement (Pardot), Digital Engagement, Sales Engagement, Salesforce Voice, Agentforce, or Gearset.
Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems.
Familiarity with the Salesforce development lifecycle, deployment practices, and version control.
Equivalent experience demonstrating deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, SOQL, LWC, and Salesforce APIs.
Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the Salesforce platform.
Configure and maintain the Salesforce instance, including page layouts, profiles, permission sets, validation rules, and flows.
Manage system configurations and Salesforce releases.
Ensure data quality, security, and appropriate system governance.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable Salesforce solutions.
Translate business needs into Salesforce architecture and recommend best practices.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Support end users with troubleshooting, system questions, and training.
Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and improve business processes.
Maintain documentation, platform standards, and best practices.
Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and emerging technologies.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
