About The Position

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced, self-directed developer with strong Salesforce Apex, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, SOQL, .NET, SQL, and full-stack web development experience. This is a 12-month contract role (W2) located in Hartford, CT, with a hybrid work model requiring local candidates. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining custom Salesforce applications, participating in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and supporting the CT-KIND system. The developer will also collaborate with system integrators and agency stakeholders to ensure effective application integration and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall professional IT/development experience.
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience coding Salesforce Apex using OOP principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce development and design patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, maintain, and support custom Salesforce applications.
  • Develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Pages, and Visualforce Pages.
  • Apply strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements verification, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support.
  • Analyze requirements and provide technical solutions for application integration.
  • Support development and ongoing maintenance of the CT-KIND system.
  • Work with the System Integrator to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure long-term maintainability of assigned modules.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Work with agency stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Drive assigned work from requirements through implementation.
  • Mentor less-experienced technical staff and share knowledge with the development team.
  • Support application integration and end-to-end web development activities.
