Peraton is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join their team. This position is located in Herndon, VA, and is part of the Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program for the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT). This initiative aims to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework to enhance the services provided to CA’s customers. The role involves app development, prototyping, testing, and demonstrating capabilities to users. Responsibilities include code merges, conflict resolution, deploying repositories to various environments, and assisting with deployments to production. The developer will build custom applications using declarative customization capabilities like flows and App Builder, and design/provide solution recommendations and roadmaps for service modernizations using the Salesforce Platform. They will collaborate with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and customers to architect Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements, utilizing inbuilt CRM/CX technologies and functionalities. A key part of the role is performing fit-gap analysis against Salesforce clouds, services, communities, and AppExchange tools to map Salesforce capabilities against business and technical requirements. The developer will also document, maintain, and govern Salesforce solutions, work with systems architects on security and compliance requirements (Section 508, FISMA), and design/develop APIs and integrations with external systems. Ensuring the system meets business expectations, implementing proper testing, and monitoring performance and security are also crucial aspects of this position.
