Peraton is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join their team. This position is located in Herndon, VA, and is part of the Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program for the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT). This initiative aims to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework to better support customer services. The role involves app development, prototyping, testing, demonstrating capabilities, code merges, conflict resolution, and deployment of repositories to various environments. The developer will build custom applications using declarative customization capabilities like flows and App Builder, and design/provide solution recommendations and roadmaps for service modernizations using the Salesforce Platform. They will collaborate with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and customers to architect Salesforce solutions, leveraging inbuilt CRM/CX technologies and functionalities. A key part of the role is performing fit-gap analysis against Salesforce clouds, services, communities, and AppExchange tools. The position also requires documenting, maintaining, and governing Salesforce solutions, addressing security and compliance requirements (e.g., Section 508, FISMA), and designing/developing interfaces, APIs, and integrations with external systems. The developer will also review and correct project direction, ensure system accuracy against business expectations, and oversee proper testing and monitoring of performance and security requirements.
