About The Position

We are seeking a Salesforce CPQ Subject Matter Expert to own and continuously improve our Salesforce CPQ ecosystem and quote-to-cash processes across the organization. In this role, you will serve as the primary expert for Salesforce CPQ, partnering with Sales, Pricing, Finance, Operations, and Information Technology to develop scalable solutions that improve quoting efficiency, pricing accuracy, automation, and the overall customer experience. In a typical day, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges, evaluate existing workflows, and lead the design and implementation of Salesforce CPQ solutions. You'll leverage your expertise in product configuration, pricing rules, discount structures, approvals, quote generation, workflow automation, and system integrations to optimize business processes and support company growth. You'll act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, translating business needs into practical solutions while ensuring Salesforce CPQ capabilities are fully utilized. You'll lead solution discussions, document requirements, support testing efforts, guide user adoption, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the platform. You will also play a key role in maintaining seamless integration between Salesforce CPQ, Oracle Fusion, and other enterprise applications to support accurate data flow throughout the customer lifecycle. Success in this role means delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, user experience, data quality, and business outcomes while helping shape the future direction of our Salesforce CPQ environment through automation, innovation, and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ , which includes solution design, implementation, configuration, and support.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and capabilities within platforms like Salesforce or Oracle to drive automation and improve business outcomes.
  • Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and process modeling.
  • Familiarity with business systems, data flows, and testing methodologies.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools (Jira, Excel, Visio, etc.).
  • Ensure careful, accurate documentation and testing.
  • Organize information logically and manage work across project phases.
  • Focus on delivering business value and prioritize high-impact features and changes.

  • Experience with pricing engines such as Zilliant
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and clarify business problems, goals, and constraints.
  • Translate business needs into actionable requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs to elicit requirements.
  • Resolve conflicting needs and prioritize requirements.
  • Document requirements (BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps).
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications (FSDs).
  • Ensure documentation is clear and accessible to both business and IT teams.
  • Map current (as-is) and future (to-be) processes.
  • Identify pain points and recommend process improvements within system constraints.
  • Understand how business processes are supported by systems.
  • Suggest configuration changes or enhancements.
  • Analyze business data requirements and define data flows between systems.
  • Assess upstream/downstream impacts of changes.
  • Document test cases and scenarios; support UAT planning and execution.
  • Validate solutions against business requirements.
  • Proficient in tools such as Jira (or similar), Excel, Visio (or similar), and general business productivity software.
  • Communicate the business impact of system or process changes.
  • Support user adoption by explaining changes and their rationale.
  • Prepare user guides and training materials; assist in training delivery.
  • Triage user issues and escalate to support teams as needed.
  • Provide business context for audits, governance, and change approvals.
  • Manage relationships with business owners, PMs, and end-users.
  • Balance competing priorities and negotiate scope or trade-offs.
  • Communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
  • Translate technical concepts into business language.
  • Collaborate with PMs, application administrators, developers, and support teams.
  • Work effectively across functions and organizational levels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
